But the nice thing about a teacher in a book is that he'll be there when you're in the mood.Diane Lockwardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07614479152159652577noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-829168697372726752.post-75259081805746945322007-10-10T11:54:00.000-04:002007-10-10T11:54:00.000-04:00A few months back I went to a reading by W.S. Anyway, as he read, I got this weird, weird feeling that he was going to be one of my teachers. I knew this wasn't literal in the sense that it was highly unlikely I'd ever take a workshop with him -- so I decided it just meant I needed to start reading him in some depth. I bought his humongous selected poems a few days later. Still haven't delved into it though. I guess sometimes I like to try and ignore my teachers. ;)Anne Haineshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17038705452206752521noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-829168697372726752.post-1576312686643707442007-10-07T18:55:00.000-04:002007-10-07T18:55:00.000-04:00I recently finished Mueller's Alive Together and f...I recently finished Mueller's Alive Together and found many poems to love. Lisel Mueller, for one. And Simic, for stretching myself.

SusanAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
